I took a hike through Discovery Park yesterday, starting at the north parking lot and going down to the West Point Lighthouse, then back. My intent was to get a shot of the lighthouse with the Olympic Mountains in the background, as well as whatever else might catch my eye.
Turns out, the lighthouse area was a great place to catch the Blue Angels practicing for the #Seafair air shows this weekend!

Blue Angels II
In order to fly in the Blue Angels an officer must have a minimum of 1,250 tactical-jet flight hours. The lead officer or Boss requires 3,000 hours.
They fly 6, FA-18's and at points flirt with the sound barrier. This image shows four of the 6 jets flying in tight formation over the San Francisco Bay.
