While I’ve looked at these plants individually, I think they make a really lovely welcoming entrance to the #woodland. On the left hand side of the path are #blue, #pink and #white #bluebells, while on the right hand side are beautiful white #greater #stitchwort.

Some bluebells from back in May in a local patch of woods which always has some gorgeous carpets of bluebells.
The small patch of bluebells which grows our front garden always flower a week or two before the ones in the woods which helps me judge the timing of when it's worth popping to the woods!

A nobbly, gnarly old hornbeam rising out of a sea of bluebells.
This is a familiar tree as I've shot it from a different angle in winter. I actually prefer this angle, so will be revisiting this scene in different conditions throughout the year.
I saw numerous birds flying in and out of the trunk while photographing it, so there's obviously at least one nest there.

The bluebells are out at Emsworthy Mire, a little bit earlier than usual (although later than other bluebells down this way) & well…quite spectacular!
