Over the past three months, I've spent close to 50 hours on the phone with #BlueCrossBlueShield, my #doctor, and an #urgentcare clinic I saw ONE TIME trying to get them to pay for my #healthcare. (Very simple office visits, mind!) Finally TODAY I reach a #customerservice rep who is able to figure out what the hell is wrong and process my claims. If I didn't already work in healthcare and know where to start digging to get my healthcare paid for, I would have been out almost $2,000 for basic preventative healthcare.

Now picture someone who DOESN'T work in healthcare, living just above the #poverty benefits line, with sub-par #healthinsurance because their state didn't expand #Medicare coverage under the #AffordableCareAct like the monsters the #GOP has proven themselves to be time and time again. They have neither the time nor the knowledge needed to navigate this absolute #capitalisthellscape.

This #bullshit is why we need #MedicareForAll YESTERDAY.

I don’t know — if you’re the CEO of a company that lost a $9 Billion contract, maybe you’d be on the hotseat? Or maybe not if it’s a “nonprofit” — #bluecrossblueshield pays executives handsomely and makes a lot of money, but it has seemed unaccountable for performance that may have diminished. Until now.
