Gross. Just got a fake Bluehost email from--what claims to be--Bluehost Support, but really is a phishing scam from a "kollect.ai" address looking to steal billing info.

Of course I have no idea if either of the #Twitter accounts I included in my Tweet are really for #Bluehost. I did see @BluehostIndia which I am sure is blue-check-ligit!?!?

#FediHelp request: Has anyone who has #WordPress hosting through #Bluehost been able to get the #ActivityPub plug-in to work?

I can install it and there are no errors, but when I try to follow the blog it just says “follow request sent” and the activity never shows up on the Wordpress side. The issue is that I have no control/access to mod_security via CPanel.

I try to login to a client’s #Bluehost account ONE TIME …. (Their ACCOUNT, mind you! Not even their site.)

Note you don't really get a #Wordpress.org account as such - you sign up with a host like #Siteground or #BlueHost, and install Wordpress(.org) open source version through them. Or self-host which is another can of worms!

Having made a lot of sites through hosts, I'm considering moving one large site to Wordpress.com to take advantage of their additional features, security, and #hosting speed.

I want to import my twitter archive into basically anything I personallycould query, so you know a relational database I guess. This just silently runs quickly and doesn't import anything on my #bluehost account

Sigh. It's been *almost* 48 hours (admittedly still about 12 hours to go) since I had my blog host and domain registrar #Bluehost set a CNAME record for folio.getmikestevens.com to point to my #zenfolio photography page and it's still not working. I know it CAN take around 48 hours but I can't remember the last time I had to wait anywhere near that long.

My main project, The New Leaf Journal, is powered by WordPress. In early February, I moved the site from cheap Bluehost shared hosting to a Hetzner VPS server running @cloudron . I needed to move my content from the old server to the new server. In this article, I describe how I used the free version of the UpdraftPlus WP plugin to restore my site from a backup on the new server.
