Finally built a utility to dump a text-based blueprint report for each project I can grep! Feeling mighty pleased with myself. 🥳 🤓

Took many, many days. #Blueprints are basically a quirky, graphical dialect of #cplusplus and cplusplus is sooo pedantic. God, I'm homesick for #Ruby. True, the editor crashed as soon as I tried to run the level but that's tomorrow's problem! 😂 #UnrealEngine #gamedev

I'm clearly having some sort of parse-manic episode. Need a helpline for things like "and worst is I used regexes even though I know full well what madness that leads to with nested input!" 😿

X really enjoy #blueprints and I'm committed to making the most of them but refactoring AT ALL is a nightmare. I'm pretty clear on the worst hassles now, and some of them are in the nature of the #cplusplus underneath anyway. I love what I can do with Unreal but the WAY is so heartbreakingly far from #Ruby. 😿

Fallback plan: can anyone point me to good advice on installing dev versions (presumably from source)? My dev env is a shambles, so I usually try to skip the extra chaos but new designing with no interfaces is demented!
