This Blues Junior that I got recently is my first tube amplifier. It has no standby mode so I had been wondering what's worse--frequent power cycling or sitting idle?

From my brief searching online, it sounds like frequent power cycling is worse. With short breaks, it should not be a problem to have the amplifier on for 6-8 hours. If you know your break is going to be a few hours or longer, turn it off.

Do you have other tips for tube amps?
