Middletown has a new board game cafe - Back Again Board Game Cafe!

I finally had time sometime to go inside and meet one of the owners, and I cannot recommend this place enough. The game selection is truly remarkable, the space is welcoming and very central, and the owners are knowledgeable and quite lovely.

@SamanthaJaneSmith there's a great game called One Key that works beautifully at 2. One of you is giving clues and the other is verbally explaining what they mean to them so the clue giver can give better clues.. it's all about explaining and listening well... works well in a group too. I recommend this at the #boardgamecafe I work at for couples all the time who want to work together. Also check out Escape the Dark Castle or the Unlock! games... the latter is a set of escape rooms in a box.

@emmreef working as a Games Guru in a #boardgamecafe it's hard to pinpoint. The worst games are those with no agency, pure luck with no strategy are my nemesis but most other games have an audience. It's all about getting the right game for the right crowd and getting a good teach.... not a good answer, I know, sorry!

Candy Land sucks though... unless you are 4.

Passed by this board game pub in Strasbourg...the name translates to "the cheaters." Sadly they weren't open, and we were in a schedule anyway. Maybe next time!
