It’s a term from #Bokononism, a religion central to #KurtVonnegut’s book, #CatsCradle, published in 1963. A Karass is “A group of people linked in a cosmically significant manner, even when superficial linkages are not evident.”
Seems like a pretty good characterization of #Mastodon.
