It's a completely normal and natural phenomenon known as a #bolide—a mass (typically a rock) that burns up and disintegrates as it traverses #Earth's #atmosphere. Trying to associate these events with UFOs is misguided, and ultimately damaging to the legitimate study of unidentified arial phenomena.

Checked NASA's All-Sky Fireball Network and they didn't catch it.
But!
2½ and 3 hours later it did pick up two meteors a hundred or so miles north of me.

Per la prima volta, in tutta la mia vita, ho vissuto l'esperienza di osservare uno sciame di bolidi (in vulgo stelle cadenti).
Da quando ho capito che era uno sciame ne ho contate ben 19! Ed almeno 4/5 ne erano già transitate.
Transito: da ovest in direzione nord ovest poco oltre lo Zenith.
Uno spettacolo bellissimo ad occhio nudo!
