This example is Procyon Lotor and is dated to the #Pleistocene period approx. 12,000 to 2,500,000 years ago.

It was recovered by me from the Peace River in #Florida's Bone Valley Formation.

The Peace River (Bone Valley Formation) is home to a rich mix of Eocene, Miocene, Pliocene, and Pleistocene #fossils. The record includes everything from Megalodon, Mastodon, Sabre Tooth Cat, Dire Wolf, Giant Ground Sloth.

#Fossil hunters on the Peace are two main types : divers/snorkelers and shovel-sifting. I am the latter type. I've dug my fair share of holes.
