* An unknown mushroom growing between the roots of a tree
* A Crane Fly on a eucalyptus tree
* Ivy flowering in the afternoon sun
* The tight bud of a white Nerine just beginning to open in front of an Acer scolopendrifolium (yes, it really does go that colour in Autumn!)

I don't like horror films, books, or images as I'm well squeamish. So I find these shots disturbing, each in their own way, despite them being perfectly normal and unthreatening. I think they could each feature in a garden-based horror flick.

I hope never to take photos like these again...
