I'm not ashamed to say I was a big fan of Jonathan Stroud's YA "Lockwood & Co" series. It was Harry Potter meets Ghostbusters with an edge. Fun, funny, well written.
I'm two episodes into the TV adaptation, and man is it spot on. It's a testament to Stroud's writing and the filmmakers that it's coming out almost exactly as I pictured it in my head.

I read Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter last week and now I just finished watching the tv show adaptation and wow they really changed most everything. I definitely recommend the book in this case.

Did you know that the greatest Christmas movie, Die Hard, is based on a novel called Nothing Lasts Forever?

Apparently it's a very good book, so don't read the plot summary if you plan to try it out. But otherwise, read how the book ends. It's *dark* compared to the movie!

Just finished watching the miniseries Station Eleven. I loved the book, so when the first episode immediately started making huge plot changes, I was worried. But it turns out, I liked the series too! The changes made for some interesting television. Although it ultimately left me wanting to read the book again and compare…
I’ve taken advantage of a cold and frosty weekend to binge A Spy Among Friends on the new ITVX. I’m a fan of Cold War spy dramas and love Ben Macintyre’s books. It’s a OK adaptation with a stellar cast though not a patch on the book which is able to explore the themes of friendship and betrayal much more effectively.

I just finished watching #ThePeripheral and I think it’s a great addition to the universe @GreatDismal created in the books so far. I can’t wait for season two and book three. I definitely need more #Lovebeer in my life. #williamgibson #scifi #bookadaptations
