I do a lot of #bookbinding (especially #fanbinding lately as a means of preserving fandom history + just making really cool books of fanfic I love); I'm interested in #preservation, #bookconservation, #archives, and #rarebooks on a more professional level, too. Like every good former English major, I also #amwriting a couple novels with varying degrees of success.

Clear, concise and immensely readable, George Boudalis's Codex and Craft in Late Antiquity.
I highly recommend if you want a starter text on the evolution from tablets to single section bindings to multi-section bindings along with structural elements and decoration.

Condition checking before sending out on loan:

- engrained dirt
- creased
- accretions, etc.
