Originally a #webcomic on #Tapastic (as was) now #Tapas back in 2017, #ChelseaFuredi’s gripping tale #ProjectNought has been turned into a full #GraphicNovel. Despite the #SciFi label, this is intrinsically about affinities and characters growing together. There is a surprise twist, so I am being careful about my comments. This is a quick, well-paced read with gorgeous #artwork. I ordered my copy back in February from and prior to the demise of #BookDepository (taken over & subsumed by *m*z*n).

1. Getting things moving on my research grant proposal. Always a good feeling, even if it will likely get rejected again. At least I'll know I did my best.
2. Made an awesome japanese curry earlier by adding spiced pear butter to the mixture. Easing back into having two meatless days a week so this was a yummy plant-based katsu cutlet to go with the yummy gravy.
3. The last two books from my last #BookDepository purchase arrived. My #HistoryofMiddleEarth set is now complete.

@bookstodon Tangentially, now I'm waiting for my last ever purchase from #BookDepository : the Everyman's Library edition of Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment (the Pevear and Volokhonsky translation).

And I have a copy of The Brothers Karamazov (in a Spanish Penguin Classics edition) waiting for me to read it since last year...

So, #Amazon is closing the #BookDepository. This is annoying because all the URLs on my site go there. Now I need to find a new online #books vendor that provides #freeInternationalShipping. Any suggestions?

Just noticed the book depository is closing. It was better for books than amazon, even after amazon bought them. Now amazon is removing yet another option from the web in their endless march to domination.

A friend brought the Starcodes Astro Oracle to our monthly #tarot meet and two of us fell madly in love with it. I decided to put in a last hurrah order on #BookDepository and ended up ordering 4 other decks.

Friends asked me to order an extra copy of Starcodes Astro and another #oracle deck. So I'll have 7 decks heading this way.

All this happened too damn fast.

#bookdepository is closing down. This is sad news. I wonder why? Where will I buy my books now? Certainly not from Amazon.
