Yet another massive example on how to extend the power of with !

This time, we provide a search and replace tool for metadata fields.

For example when your CEO spontaneously decides to change the company name from "Amazing Inc." to the boring (sic!) but new name "Xyz Inc.", and you must replace the Copyright text in all photos immediately.
This can't simply be done by just overwriting that field in all files with the XMP Editor in the Inspector of NeoFinder, as the Copyright string may be very different for each file, like "Copyright by Amazing Inc. 2021" or "© Amazing Inc. All Rights Reserved" or such.

Here is a bug that was fixed in 8.4: You can search for Annotations, and it now will work for two or more Annotation parameters as well.

Dragging an offline file from into another application will now paste the thumbnail into the destination.

Previously, it was only possible to drop an online file into another Application, but now, NeoFinder will already provide the thumbnail for offline files...

adds more possible fields that the Icon View can show!

The long list now includes the Image ID, ID3 Composer, ID3 Genre, and BPM fields.

You select these in the View Settings. And of course, these can now also be sorted, as you would have expected.

A: That’s actually very easy - since abeMeda’s catalogs are plain files, you can simply copy them to a different location to create a backup. Use “Show catalog file” or “Show in Explorer” on the Library to reveal the files themselves, and then copy them manually, or create a scheduled task for that. Did you know that abeMeda offers options to modify file dates in the file system? You can find commands to set them to different other dates found in the items (creation/modification date, EXIF, XMP, depending on what is available) in the Inspector. And this even works for multiple selected items: in that case, the commands are available in the context menu for the cumulated file size.

I have been for a 25 km cycle before the rain, coffee, had a shower, did the washing which is undercover, made my main meal, and now food prep for tomorrow.

While out cycling I came across a fairy garden and a book library on our shared pathway. Also, possum boxes in the trees.
