The Mirkwood Book Nook, by itself.
My thoughts on the Elven entryway was that the elves had carved/constructed it to resemble the surrounding trees all the way up to the canopy. As such, I painted it grey to show the difference in material.

Includes LEDs to show light at the end of the path.

I assembled a quick Van Gogh book nook today to decompress from travel. The instructions were all in Chinese or another language that uses non-English symbols. Thank goodness for paint and Google Translate. I kind of love this one. It even has a motion sensor for the light to conserve battery. #booknook #minneature #vincentvangogh

After not crafting for months, I’m trying to finish my first book nook! #notjustcomputers
I designed and laser cut the housing, and scratch built everything that’s inside (cardboard, polymer clay, paper, acrylic paints, gypsum, etc).
Lit by a UV torch for the picture, but the next step is connecting the SK6812 and UV led that are hidden throughout to an Arduino Nano.
