It was #publication day for my eighth #novel #AChildsGoodbye yesterday and look! I matched my cardigan to my #book cover! (Semi-intentionally.) The plant was a #publicationday gift from my #publishers #Bookouture. The card with my #bookcover on was from my OH. Pic taken by my daughter!

It's a strange (and wonderful) feeling to have something that's been sitting in notebooks and on my computer, suddenly out there being read. (It's also nerve-racking waiting for early #reviews! Though one of the most brilliant and startling things about being a #writer is when you hear from #readers that they've enjoyed your #book.)

just finished working through the copy-edit of my next novel - can't quite believe it's out NEXT MONTH! It will be my eighth, my sixth with #Bookouture, and it's called A Child's Goodbye. yesterday was the kind of day that doesn't come around very often. My son (who's been off sick) went back to school (phew!) and I went into London for a meeting with my publishers #Bookouture at the Hachette UK HQ, then had lunch with my agent and editor.
