36 followers · 88 posts · Server mastodon.worldHey #WritingCommunity: #Booksie recently updated the profile pages and… hm… Well they didn’t fix any of the problems that existed before (still can’t connect to Twitter and Facebook despite there being buttons to do so). When I updated the news, everything collapsed in on itself. Fonts and sizes changed, sentences were deleted or truncated. I finally gave up trying to fix it. I also don’t like how they put the books and short stories before the actual profile and news.

If, after reading a book, you are scorched with emotion, exhausted to the core, but wondering why the characters failed so spectacularly, then the author has done their job.
Books are mirrors of the human condition, reflections of past failings, and maps to doing better.
My personal favourite of all time is surprisingly not a horror. It is Catch22!

A few years back I realized that as a child, I never noticed my favorites books had... plots! 😂
What I got attached to were characters, worlds, moods, in which they... did things, I guess? 🤣
