I'm a bit late, but still love to share the books I've read each year. In 2022 I read:

World Without End by Ken Follett
The Birth of Britain by Winston Churchill
The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett
The Mountains Sing by Nguyen Phan Que Mai
The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner
Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman by Robert K. Massie.

Not as many as I usually get through but all were great reads.

Last book of the year! “Sisterland” by Curtis Sittenfeld is the story of twins with a psychic bond and the push-pull of wanting to be normal and wanting to be yourself. The author has a good eye for everyday detail and an acute sense of emotional reality, but the ending seemed a little forced. Pretty good.

“Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus is a feminist fable of a brilliant young chemist in the 1950s who breaks all the rules but winds up succeeding on her own terms. Not sure I really liked it because the satire was so broad and anachronistic, but I did enjoy the dog character.

Just finished reading "The Night She Disappeared"by Lisa Jewell. What a ride! It was my first book of hers I've read but definitely won't be my last. I can see why she is such a popular writer.
