#Booksmart (2019) is a girl-buddy-highschool-comedy-drama that is created and executed with skill. I guess the closest film to compare it to is Ladybird, except it’s mostly a comedy and as such not as profound. You get some unexpected moments and some tropes you’d expect in a charming mix. For me it’s one of the better films from 2019.
Also, it’s directed by #OliviaWilde and features #JasonSudeikis in an appropriately weird minor supporting role

I saw that it's in the movie #Tully, which sounded interesting, so I added it to my Netflix queue.
Tully (starring #CharlizeTheron and #MackenzieDavis) is really good. I'm glad the rabbit hole led me to it; the song fits perfectly.

Why is there the need for a distributor? Couldn’t a motivated small indie cinema just deal with the producer directly to get showing rights?
