Just finished Afterglow by Phil Stamper. It has the same huge problem as the first one: The voices of all the main characters are identical and you can’t tell them apart, despite the chapter headings. I enjoyed it, but I really wish there was more adult books for gay men, especially ones like these two books that deal with friendship and life and realistic queer relationships.

🪷 Take a breather. Take note of how you feel right now, in this instance? Physically, Mentally and Emotionally. Don't be harsh, just take stock and write why you feel like this. What caused it? No pressure. You don't have to go deep.

🪷 What was a high of today? What was a low?

Remember you don't need to always go deep, even with inner reflection prompts. Sometimes it's just nice to note down how you're feeling without going deeply in depth. If you want to, go for it! But journalling is to make you happy. If all you can manage is a few lines or one word answers, so be it. It's still journalling.
