A wee bit of the #BookWeekScotland vibe last night at The Dick Institute, Kilmarnock.
Willing to bet Bono’s book gig up in Glasgow didn’t swing like ours did.

Some #GreatReads in the #BookWeekScotland publication. Another great capturing of adolescence in the early 2000s by Graeme Armstrong (author of The Young Team) in his story “The Jakit, Mysticism n PPK Resurrection”. There’s a certain excitement when reading about things you’ve experienced which is made even better when it’s written the way you speak! #ScotsLanguage

I'm a Scots language author fer weans (amang other hings) Nip Nebs wis published in 2017 and Nip Nebs and the Last Berry wis published in 2019. Baith books were illustrated by Ruthie Redden and published by Curly Tale Books. The latest yin Wheesht wis published in 2022 by Foggie Toddle Books and illustrated by Will Gorman. They were aw shortlisted fer Scots Bairns' Book o the Year at the Scots Language Awards.
