I highly recommend Paxlovid, if you can get it. Bless those telehealth doctors and my hubby who went to the pharmacy to pick it up. If they’d wanted me to come in that first day, it probably would have been on a stretcher. I could barely walk to the bathroom.

It’s now day 3 and they say I’ll be all better on Saturday. We will see.

Vanmorgen zag ik @Marco_Langbroek op Twitter met #boostered in z'n naam en dacht ik eerst dat hij een Mastodon-grapje maakte voordat ik aan het vaccin dacht.

Dat zegt vast iets diepzinnigs over dit specifieke moment in de menselijke geschiedenis, al weet ik ook niet precies wat.

@diabola My dad is >80 and, due to chronic illness, immune supressed. Being a high risk patient, he's also the perfect example of somone who can't easily get #vaccinated with a traditional #vaccine.

That is largely solved by #mRNA. He was among the first to #gettheshot, got #boostered recently - and without that, would probably have died of #COVID19 already.

"The population that can't get vaccinated due to medical reasons" is an #antivax #redherring and minuscule in the real world.
