I’m feeling angry and embarrassed. I made an appointment for my husband and I to get another bivalvent booster at a nearby pharmacy (last shot was Sep 2022).

The pharmacy tech said we aren’t eligible for boosters — we’re mid-50s and not treated for serious illnesses.

Only about 20% of Americans have gotten a bivalent booster — shouldn’t anyone be able to get one if it’s been more than 6 months?

Are insurance companies balking now that the emergency is “over”?

P.S. we got what we believe was COVID in Mar ‘20 — but too young to be tested in those early days — then caught it again last summer. I really don’t want it again and I don’t want to give it to anyone else!
P.P.S. I’m pretty sure the hypertension I never had before 2020 is due to COVID.
