Today is #Portal’s 4th birthday since hitting the #AppStore. 🎉

I couldn’t be prouder of what we have built and the team we have formed. It’s an absolute dream come true.

Sometimes progress seems slow, but this year I’m very thankful for the pace. Whilst everyone else in the tech sector is going through layoffs, burnout and panic. We are here, doing what we love, on our #bootstrapped and sustainable path.

I use Rackspace to provide email for my clients, and there’s been an outage of their hosted Exchange service for well over 48 hours with no end in site. Luckily only one of my customers uses their hosted Exchange service (the others use their IMAP service), but it’s made me painfully aware of how dependent I am on my providers. What if it had been their IMAP service that went down? What if Linode had a similar outage? What would I do? I’m not sure. 😬
