It was my dog’s 5th birthday yesterday and her big present was a puzzle feeder/snuffle feeder shaped like a takeout container. She has lived with me since six weeks old (sheepdogs need an early orientation to their new people), and came to me my first summer in this flat. my dog usually goes “naked,”
being a very tough double-coated border collie. Today, however, I had a post-hike present for her: a drying coat! Double-layer super absorbent terrycloth with a turtleneck and Velcro belly. She likes to lie down in icy ponds and streams but hates being dried, and this keeps her from shivering all the way home and then soaking the sofa. Plus is so cute in “Sandringham blue”!
