A mystery of a different kind next, one that I’ve partially solved. The road layout used to be different. There are now two junctions of Poplar Avenue and Tentelow Lane; there was only one at the time. The box isn’t on the map, so this is my best guess based on the description in the written record.

Next, a mystery box. It’s not in the records, but it is on the map and I’ve not been able to find any other information about it. It’s southeast of the previous one, still in Southall. It was outside of a police station on Norwood Road, opposite the junction with Wimborne Avenue.

South to Southall for the next one, at the junction of Western Road and King Street, opposite what was Havelock Road; it was renamed Guru Nanak Road in 2021, and Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall (the largest Sikh institute outside of India) is located on it.
