Panic-bought #bose quietcomfort 45 headphones yesterday because I was so happy with the 35ii’s that are disintegrating after 5 years of (ab)use…

I’ll probably return them.

Whoever thought ‘amplify ambience sounds over noise cancelling’ was a good alternative to turning #NoiseCancelling off has clearly never worn headphones outside and/or deserves to be fired. Way to ruin otherwise good and comfortable headphones. 😠

PSA for a very specific target group: If you like your #Bose #SleepBuds II but they‘re starting to fail and you’re frustrated they are no longer available (not even for repair), you may want to search for a #Kickstarter project called „Ozlo“.

Apparently the team that developed the SleepBuds left Bose and is trying to kickstart a successor. And it‘s already funded.

No relation to the project, just passing this on. HTH.

My dad brought me his unused late-2000s #Bose Lifestyle V20 surround sound system. It has 5 tiny dual-cube speakers that connect to a massive "bass module" which connects to a Bose AV receiver.

It could've worked great with my PS5 but the bass module is dead as far as I can tell. It's a damn shame but it looks like he could get a good amount of money by selling it for parts on eBay.

That’s my final pair of Bose Frames stopped working. Absolutely dead for no apparent reason. I still have a pair of Anker Soundcore frames, but the sound quality isn’t as good as Bose. Still, the build quality and reliability of the Bose frames was their big downfall.
