It’s amazing the difference a good grand can make. I love my Avantgrand N2 — it’s a great piano and one of the best pianos that you can buy that’s not an acoustic grand.

I got to play the Appassionata at the flagship showroom in NYC. It was a Model B. What impressed me so much was just how much easier most of the passages that I struggled with were with the Steinway. Whether it was speed, dynamics, tonality, etc., it felt easier without any major changes from me.

I’m still a pianist through and through (to the point where they were curious about how I knew so much more about Bösendorfers than Steinways, because “usually it’s the other way around” 🤣). But Steinway sure can make a top-tier piano.

I wish I could have recorded it, I would have shared it here.
