Google Maps are useful for quick planning and a rough guide to timing, but are lacking numbered cycle waypoints, and don’t correlate with real-world signposts.

I made some more cyanotypes. This toned cyanotype with fern didn’t turn out at all how I envisioned it but it’s a happy accident! I like the washing soda trails like shooting stars and gentle sepia tone.

This is my one of a kind wet cyanotype on water colour paper 11" x 14" has an image of leaves. I toned and tinted the cyanotype with green tea! Tannins in the tea add sepia tones to an otherwise blue print.

"Orange-red Auricula with Gooseberry Harlequin and a Spinning Caterpillar," Barbara Regina Dietzsch, 18th century.
Dietzsch was a member of a family of artists in Nuremberg; with a group of female artists there, she practiced a type of contemplative, almost scientific, botanical drawing style that was highly valued at the time. This is, in fact, a drawing, but was valued as highly as painting in its day.

An anthotype is a sun print made with light-sensitive pigments. I painted pigment from tumeric directly onto water colour paper and then also treated it with photochemicals.
