The bunkhouse at Blue Bird Mine located in the Caribou Ranch Open Space in Boulder county. It started as a silver mine in the late 1800's, and stayed active until 1893, when the price is silver dropped. Hikers find pieces of pottery, glass, utensils, etc and arrange their findings on the porch of the bunkhouse. I'm curious how quickly that would propagate through the network. Since there's no central source, a given instance seems only to be aware of the hashtags used on it.

For example, I can see posts tagged with #bouldercounty on mastodon.social, but my host (indieweb.social) doesn't return anything when I search for that.

I could build something that takes a public datasource (eg National Interagency Fire Center) and convert it to activitypub - but who would find it?
