Beach Recap 2022 ⛱️ I was so lucky to be able to hit up so many incredible beaches this year. I started this year off with Playa Blanca in Cartagena and ended in Miami. But Crete. Crete was mind-blowingly incredible, my first time seeing pink sand beaches, and my favorite beach of the year was in Crete too, Kedrodasos Beach. When you travel are you a beach person too? I'd love to hear what and where everyone's favorite beaches are.

Right now at the Wolfsonian in South Beach, you can check out a great exhibit titled Street Shrines by Roberto Lugo. Admission is free! This museum is in a beautiful building and there are two other great exhibits to see here as well.

Paid a visit to The Bass Museum of Art while in Miami, it's a smaller museum, which is nice if you're in a time crunch, and it's a fantastic museum to visit. They have a few exhibits to see currently. Upstairs there is an out of this world exhibit from Adrián Villar Rojas with Mariana Telleria titled El Fin de la Imaginación.

After running around the streets of Wynwood and trying to see all that I could, my last stop was at Wynwood Walls. An open-air museum featuring incredible artists from all over the world. They also throw events and have guided tours available, plus they have an awesome gift shop.

Can't go to Miami without going to Wynwood. This trip was a complete art overload. I love all the galleries, museums and shows. But to be honest some of my favorite stuff is street art. And Wynwood is bursting at the seams with some outrageously cool murals.

Brightly colored lifeguard towers with some interesting designs dot the coastline of Miami Beach. These are just the handful of towers I saw, but altogether, there are over 30.

Art Basel! I finally went to Art Basel. This has been on my to-do list for a long time. This is somehow my first time in Miami, and what a way to discover this city. The art shows and street art here have been absolutely incredible. Basel is huge and overwhelming with everything there is to see there.

Inside the Buen Retiro Park in Madrid, you'll find the Fountain of the Fallen Angel. A monument to someone you don't see in public spaces too often. Inspired by John Milton's, Paradise Lost, the fountain sits at an elevation of 666 meters above sea level.

The Hall of the Ambassadors (Hall of Abencerrajas) is one of two halls in the Palace of the Lions where you can find the incredible domed ceilings adorned with carved muqarnas. The muqarnas make up the honeycomb-esque design that appears to make the ceiling seem to defy gravity.

I went to the Huaca Pucllana in the Miraflores district of Lima during my trip to Peru last month. Excavation efforts of the site only began in 1981, and only about half the site has been excavated. The pyramid was built with clay bricks and served as a ceremonial site and burial ground.
