10.3mm 📏
4mm gap required and using a 1/4 inch spiral upcut router bit. Total fence setting 10.3mm. Routing a groove for the base and allowing a little clearance for the veneer which will be applied to it.
Any excuse to use the #Starrett caliper.

I just realized that my #zettelkasten box lacks enough height to accommodate index tabs. The box is still usable. But it will most likely not going to be part of a future project where I put together all these boxes as a cabinet. I'll adjust the dimensions in the v. 2 design.
Meanwhile, I need a more precise ruler. So I'm buying this precision T square for future projects.

Some nice figure slowly revealing itself in this piece of walnut.
Have had this waney slab sitting in the #workshop for over a year now, started processing it into pieces for making boxes and trays with. So far, so good.
