Like every olympics, there are many reasons to #boycottParisOlympics24. The last one is about the volunteer recruitement. 45000 people are invited to work 8-10h/day, 6 days/week for free, sometimes with specific requirements. So that the sponsors and contractors can earn as much as possible... So a call has been launched to get as many people engage to screw them last minute ^^

We should also remind that more than 100 workers already got injured while building the infrastructures. Recently a man died while working on the new subway line. And hundreds of undocumented workers are hired while still being harrassed or even required to quit the country...

The article 7 of the Law on Olympic Games' organization has been adopted by the national parliament, “Assemblée Nationale”, formalizing the introduction of Algorithmic Video-Surveillance (AVS) in french Law, until December 2024. Thanks to the fuss regarding the retirements reform and an expeditive-as-usual process, French government made acceptable one of the most dangerous technology ever deployed.

There might have been another reason for which France rejected the idea of a boycott of the #Qatar #fifaworldcup22. They knew people could use the very same arguments to #boycottParisOlympics24.

Last years, France showed its incompatibilty with the "olympics values", sometimes even condamned by the highest courts in Europe for : its authoritarian regime via systematic infrigement to human rights and complicity with other authoritarian regimes, deadful exploitation of undocumented people, lack of security forces organization and peaceful order management, pollution and lack of efforts to reduce its ecological impact, displacement and eviction of human populations, destruction of natural habitats, experimentation of new surveillance technologies...

Let's refuse these games at na international level!
