1. We folded and put away the clean laundry that was beginning to pile up.
2. My yarn arrived and I’ve started the new sweater! 🙌🏻 🧶
3. I downloaded five novellas in #Braille to load on the Brailleme display. It’s not the greatest #BrailleDisplay but I still use it as much as possible and novellas are easier to get through than full-sized novels.

I had the opportunity to evaluate the #Monarch #BrailleDisplay what an amazing device. This could be a game changer. Of course, a 32 x 10 display is great in itself, but being able to have so much real estate on the refreshable display that not only puts out great braille, but tactile graphics as well excites me! I am looking forward to what the future holds for this device. #NFB23 #TechSAAVI

I’m having a major issue using my Mantis and my iPhone. This has probably been happening for about a month now. When I type into a text field, words and sentences are deleted. For example, if I type “today is a beutiful day outside”, the sentence might end up reading, “today is outside”. The deletion happens as soon as I press the spacebar.
I had issues typing this post out, but once I managed to correct the first sentence, everything went smoothly.
I don’t have this problem at all on Mac OS. Anyone experiencing similar isues with the Mantis or any Braille display?

@froozy me, too, although it does throw my day in a tizzy! But I’ve finished the next chapter and am content with stopping there. Good thing, my #BrailleDisplay is down to 20% battery power! 😁

Amazing what you can discover if you download a command file for a particular #BrailleDisplay! I can now use my Mantis Q40 and Safari on my iPad with Mindly.social and jump to the bottom or end of the page to move between the links for home, notifications, local and federated feeds! Awesome! #AlwaysLearning 😁

1. Not only did I get 2 chapters read today, I finished the book! That’s the first #BrailleBook I’ve read from beginning to end this year.
2. I’ve chosen the next series I want to read and have the first book ready to go on my Mantis Q40 #BrailleDisplay.
3. Hubs and I had a quiet Easter, just the 2 of us.

One of the things I love about my Mantis is the ease with which I can switch devices. I have my iPone and MacBook connected to it, and with just a few presses of a button, I can switch between devices. I’ve thought about getting an iPad to use like a second monitor, but my phone will do for now. Now if only Android old cooperate? #Braille #BrailleDisplay

WTF! I’ve just tried to update my yPhone to the latest Beta version and what do I see? No bloody keyboard! This is the case with and without Bluetooth being switched on, so I’ll put it down to the phone permanently thinking it’s connected to a display. The passcode keyboard didn’t even come up. The only way I was able to enter it was to connect my display and do it from there by turning off QuickNav. #iOS #Accessibility #voiceOver #Blind #BrailleDisplay #Braille #WTF !

This is very odd indeed. I've tried to write this post three or four times by now and my Braille display (Humanware BrailleOne) keeps pasting in repeats of my post in somewhat of a mashed up fashion. I updated to the beta version of iOS 16.4 today but only just woke up the display. Anyone else having this issue? I haven't done all the usual troubleshooting stuff yet, but I was in the toot box so ththought I'd ask. needless 6to say, I had to go back to Braille Screen Input to write this. #iOS #VoiceOver #Braille #BrailleDisplay #Accessibility #Blind #MonaForIPhone

I so much wish I had a #BrailleDisplay. Programming would be so more easy, especially that I would have cursor routing..

Looks like my Focus 40 Blue #BrailleDisplay has bit the dust after just 3 months of use. Unit arbitrarily turns off at random intervals. I've tracked down the likely culprit to a wiggly power switch which activates of its own accord. Exceedingly poor timing given I'm in the middle of the last 3 weeks of my semester, but not much I can do about it.
