Agree with you on #Branagh's Henry V. I would put his #Hamlet a notch above, but I know I'm probably in a majority there.

Bullseye on the audience coming to hear a play back then. This is one of the reasons that #Shakespeare works so very well on radio in my view.

Come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen a live Hamlet

I thought I had seen all the extra features that connect to #Branagh's 1997 full-text #Hamlet, but either my memory is deteriorating faster than I anticipated... or I never saw this fascinating documentary on the making of the film. I choose to believe the latter.

@shakespearenut I so love that film. Everyone made such a huge deal out of his Henry V, and rightly so, but then this came out and people yawned. No idea why. I think it's a major contribution, and some of his best work. And it will stand for decades. #Hamlet #Branagh
