A companion post to my post a short time ago--

One of the many times I've revisited this specific location at , I shot a session there with the lovely Nicole Miracle. I love how absolutely serene she looks, like she's been waiting for the viewer to stumble on this spot as the day is long.

Shooting this image was challenging, considering my desire to get everything in one shot-- her pose, the , etc. Shooting Muse sessions with long exposure waterscapes incorporated into the concept can be a tall order, taking into consideration asking a model to stay perfectly stock still as they put all 90% of their bodyweight into a pointed foot, on a slippery rock amid rushing water. I'm grateful to all the models who have taken a chance on me and my vision to create beautiful, feminine art together.

Last wednesday I posted my favorite version of my multiple sessions from this location, and today here's my second favorite.

From my last post about this spot:
I've visited a lot of waterfalls in my time as a photographer, and while my technique has evolved with experience and time, this image from 2007 has remained one of my favorites. I've gone back to this location multiple times to photograph this exact image, but this one always wins out.

Getting to this position in the creek is not for the faint of heart-- I usually put my camera strap in my teeth to hold it above the water as my feet slip over mossy, slick rocks until I get to a boulder further downstream. When I'm done taking exposures I am typically soaked head to toe.
Worth it. Every single time.
