@aby I like #BraveBrowser (@brave). It's built on Chrome but it strips out all the tracking stuff. It's got a lot of privacy preserving features.

Per il browser, evita Chrome e compagnia briscola (Google controlla anche a che ora entri in bagno) oltre a Firefox suggerisco #bravebrowser o #DuckDuckGoBrowser (questo come motore di ricerca). Non dovrebbero chiedere login.

@kristiana in pratica brave ti paga in Bat (crypto proprietaria) per ogni "pubblicità" che ti invia sottoforma di notifica. Clicchi sopra la chiudi subito e calcola una piccola somma, si solito 0.010 Bat in su. Personalmente sono arrivato anche 5 Bat in un mese. Nelle impostazioni delle ricompense ci sono le impostazioni per donare o ai siti che più frequenti o ad uno specifico #bravebrowser #ricompenseBrave

Retrieve the basic statistical information 'what were #Alphabet's 2022 profits?'

Should be a very easy, exact figure that's not debatable, available in countless primary and reported locations, and very recent.

#Bing and #Google both fully failed. The #BraveBrowser Summarizer produced the exact right information, but then added lots of superfluous content...

Overall not super impressive.

This has been my stance on Brave browser since the very beginning. The company is a mess & leadership is shady, if not blatantly bigoted at times. I have yet to find a situation, personally, where Brave was the solution.
If you want chrome, or don't care about open vs closed source, try Vivaldi. Or just run Firefox.

For a bit more tech savvy people: Why do chromium based browsers (specially Edge) consume more memory?

I mostly use #firefox and #bravebrowser but often would access GPT4 through Edge. And the system would become very slow (both windows and mac) with fan sound coming out!

It is relatively much faster with Firefox.

Unfortunately that archive site is helping Goo train AI systems, so we cannot use that either.

Your valient efforts are duly noted.

Its cool, we always encourage #TorBrowser and other forks of Mozilla's. Never not #BraveBrowser. Resources like spyware.i2p show problems with Brave. Its unfortunate that #JShelter opt for Brave's anti-fingerprinting measures, which sound inconsistent.

Just found an interesting article about how the #BraveBrowser is handling crawled data for training #AI. It's an interesting read from a Licensing perspective.

The problem with #Mastodon is that it is spoiling me.

I can mute, block, and follow whoever I like. I can remove entire domains from my timelines and mute users whom I don't want to see.

Now, why can't I do this with domains and websites in my search engines? @brave search wants to improve the search engine game, but why do I still see stuff I don't want to? Come on, I would think they would be the first to allow me to block a specific website of popping up every time I search a specific topic.

I should be able to have the same power over my data and what I see and don't see in my search engine that Mastodon grants me!
