OTD in 1823 at 6 p.m. the MONTEZUMA fired a gun and struck Lord Cochrane's flag, which he received without apparent emotion. He then went aboard the charter COLONEL ALLEN to commence his voyage to Brazil. đ¨đąâđ´ó §ó ˘ó łó Łó ´ó żâđ§đˇ

@BylinesScotland Lord Thomas Cochrane, 10th Earl of Dundonald, because he not only played a major role in the Napoleonic wars but also in the independence of Chile, Peru, Brazil and Greece and besides this had over 20 patents to his name at the time of his death.
