Encountered this delightful supply/aid station on Hardt Rd in Wildwood, MO. It's a kid run operation! The compact but thoughtfully equipped site includes a bike rack, work stand, tools, supplies and snacks (payments on the honor system). It even has a "break room" with a retractable privacy screen. The St. Louis Cycling Club way back in the day installed markers commemorating members along favorite routes and gathering spots. This one, celebrating William Butler, was erected a century ago this year. His "associations with this spot were always congenial and distinctive." Here's to you Mr. Butler!
