We're only halfway through season 2 of The White Lotus, but I absolutely have to applaud the show's unflinching realism when it comes to the Italian breakfast buffet. Breakfast Cake is absolutely a thing, as we discovered in Gaeta (a coastal town between Rome and Naples). You really can't say no.
