Brexit regrets? A new poll suggests the UK has had a few since leaving the EU.

The YouGov poll shows that 62% of those asked agree with the statement that Brexit has been more of a failure than a success, with only 9% considering it "more of a success". A further 20% describe it as neither, while the remaining 9% are unsure.

It raises the question of whether the UK is suffering from "Bregret".

The short-termist determination of Brexiteers to avoid a Brexit that works for British people & business is most befuddling, given how it only increases the sense of #Bregret, reflected in ongoing opinion polls showing record numbers wishing we were still in the EU.

Why resist a workable Brexit — ceding a little sovereignty in order to keep some of the freedoms we enjoyed - less paperwork or, in my case, ability to apply to for Horizon/CreativeEurope/NGI/NLNet funding?

So what we #European Brits had been saying all along turns out to be true.

Deutschland fällt das interessant aus dem Muster. 2023 stagnieren wir quasi, dafür dann 2024 ein deutlicher Anstieg, während Japan und die USA schrumpfen, Kanada und Italien stagnieren, und Frankreich nur halb so viel wächst.
