#NewReleases This Week: #BrendanBenson – #LowKey. You can tell Benson is a bit old school, because this year he gives you 8 songs in 30 minutes, while competitors half his age give you 30 or 40 tunes over three (or five!) discs. This economy of purpose inhabits his songwriting as well, and “I Missed the Plane” and “Something a Little Like Home” went straight on the playlist. Hope he doesn’t wreck it by dropping four more discs by Christmas.
