Last night I watched The Banshees of Inisherin. A beautiful, strange, sad and laugh-out-loud funny film. Strongly recommend.

It also made me want to rewatch Calvary (2014), another great film with Brendan Gleeson in rural Ireland. (Available on Amazon Prime.) 😀 imdb.com/title/tt2234003/

Just watched The Banshees Of Inisherin for the third time. I fucking love this movie. I think it’s Martin McDonagh’s greatest yet. The cinematography is stunning. Brendan Gleeson, Colin Farrell, Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan are outstanding. And Jenny, of course.
Still shocked it took home no Academy Award.

Finally got around to seeing The Banshees of Inisherin over the weekend. It is an excellent film well worth seeing. Beautiful scenery and excellent performances from Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon. Well done to everyone involved. 👏 👏 👏

Mission: Impossible 2 STILL has just enough good that outweighs the bad. There are NO bad M:I films. I especially like the action beats once you get beyond the silly car dance, and the fact that one confrontation leads into one hore track sequence, with both connected by a "tip-off".

This was one of those films I didn't figure out till the last scene, and I'm sure half of you realised this already, but:

The last scene, and 's characters have pretty much destroyed each other's lives, but Brendan is thanking Colin for minding his dog, and Colin replies any time. So they are at war with each other, but also being civil to each other....
