Love this beautifully built brick archway in Maryhill in Glasgow. It's always seemed a bit out of place amongst the sandstone tenements which surround it, but I presume it must be survivor of an older building which once stood on the site (could be wrong on that front, though).

Kelvindale old and new.

I'm guessing the polychromatic buildings in the foreground were built pre-1900, and most probably around the 1870s, given their style and construction materials. In the background are the 1960s Wyndford high rises.

Former Clydesdale Paint, Colour and Oil Works, Cook Street, Glasgow. Designed by H and D Barclay and buit in 1888. I love the Romanesque tower. It's one of a series of such towers you can spot around Glasgow, all from around the same era.

This is a little gem of polychromatic brick building that's seen better days (and despite being listed really looks like it's on its last legs). It's on Tobago Street in Calton, Glasgow.

It was designed by A Adam and built in 1905 as a store and stable for James Fraser, who was a rag and metal merchant.

Former Greenhead Weaving Factory, James Street, Glasgow.
Designed by Ninian MacWhannell and built in 1888 using polychromatic brickwork, which was a common feature of 19th Century industrial buildings in Glasgow. It housed power-looms of Thomas Thomson which were used to manufacture cloth.
