I observed this bird chasing (and snacking on!) insects in the grass near a busy road and footpath.
Was wary of my presence so couldn’t get too close, but it hung about long enough for a few pics at least!

A little bit of #Australiana - an #Australian #bush scene on a brick wall facing a busy highway in suburban #brightonEast #Australia.
It’s a new addition to the area, which is a part of #Melbourne’s #urbancanvas project which has seen the creation and display of up to 30 new public pieces of art pop up, over the recent few months.
I’m slowly getting around to each one of them… one at a time.

Surprisingly, we’re seeing Agapanthus (these I believe are #AgapanthusAfricanus) blooming in Melbs, here and there.
They’re normally out and about in abundance throughout mid Spring to early Summer, but these few captured yesterday in #brightonEast #Australia, appeared to be new blooms.
Strange timing, however gorgeous all the same.

It grows beautifully in #brightonEast #Australia - I think it has been showing of its vibrant pink bracts for almost 4 months now.

Well, to say I fell in love the moment I set my eyes on this booming, bright #Bougainvillea is an understatement!
It’s the most magnificent one I’ve seen all #summer… and just look at the saturated growth of flowers. And the shades of pinks and what appears red shades throughout this beauty.
