This is the worst news I've read this morning: the school my brother went to just scrapped it's A-level program. This is an area with multi-generational poverty, chronic unemployment and only 8% of kids making it to university and they just scrapped the one thing that gets those kids out of that trap. It's "not viable". Not viable!!! They're offering to pay for transport to other schools, but how many people are going to have the energy to deal with that?

A Bristolean retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice ends its run tonight at the Bristol Old Vic. The performance involves a cast of 140 people from community groups and includes 7 year olds all the way up to an 87 year old. In fact, there are three generations acting in the same play!

This home-made knitted jumper is one of my most recent charity shop finds. I found it in a hospice charity shop in #Bristol and the colours jumped out at me - when I picked it up and saw the contrasting sleeves I knew I had to buy it.

The boots are also #secondhand - I got them on fashion resale site Vinted after repeated searches for 'vegan cowboy boots.'
