#OnThisDay in 1953 : During operational practice flights in #Malaya, a #BristolSycamore helicopter was used to evacuate a wounded 22 SAS soldier. He was flown to a hospital in Kuala Lumpur. Around a hundred Sycamores were ordered by the RAF and many used in the Malayan Emergency.
