I’m rereading Nikolai Dante from the start. I have a tremendous amount of affection for this strip, but man a lot of the early stuff has aged poorly. It’s very Loaded (remember the 2000AD Sex Special? Yikes. Actually the sex stuff is often the least problematic things in it). Fortunately there’s enough of a good core story for it to rise above all of that.

Naturally I paid my respects to Desperate Dan and Minnie the Minx while in . I was fortunste enough to be friends with Minnie's dad, Leo, so I had to introduce myself to her.

Happy birthday to the mighy 2000 AD! Went on sale on this day back in 1977. Still remember the excitement of reading that first Prog - had no idea that several decades on I would still be reading it, and would have enjoyed chairing events with some of its writers and artists (and a good few pints afterwards!). Thrill Power forever!
