My days, Why should I have to turn off my #protonvpn to simply upload my electric & gas readings to #britishgas ?? Their website simply will not load?? Aparantly, they are having "technical problems" unless I turn off my VPN???

The CEO of #Centrica, who own #BritishGas has just been paid £4.5mn for a year's work.... work, which you will recall has involved plunging a large part of the country into #fuelpoverty.

The vast majority of #shareholders were happy with his pay deal, demonstrating, that the world of #financialservices operates at one remove from the rest of the country.

Why is Covid still allowed to be touted as an excuse for understaffing? It has been 3 years!

#BritishGas just 5 months ago announced profits of £72M and #Centrica, the parent company, made a record £3.3B in profits.

Anybody else seen the new #BritishGas Energy app? I can’t believe that it’s actually *worse* than the present one! They’ve been building up to it for months, and this is what they come up with? The old app used to be so good too before they started messing around with it

Great news! I took part in my first “Peak Save” event with British Gas on 15 March and saved a whopping 5p!

Don’t worry they’re doubling it.

(And rounding it up to £1 but that’s not as funny.)

The problem is I already don’t waste energy so these events aren’t much help to me.

We queried our #britishgas bill & then viewed it online. I SHIT YOU NOT, they equated our latest bill to £425 PER DAY over a 4 day period and more that £7k for a month. Clearly #britishgas have cocked up, but could you imagine someone vulnerable receiving this, who wasn’t able to challengeit and spend an hour on the phone resolving???? #GTTO #energy #energycrisis

Emails from #BritishGas overnight asking me to submit meter readings for my gas and electricity accounts. I have a smart meter precisely so I don’t have to do that, don’t I? If they want a meter reading they can pay to employ meter readers again

#britishgas why won't you increase storage capacity when you made record high profits? you have enough capital to invest in this expansion project. But it would mean dropping energy prices to the consumer. So you don't want to. This is why energy companies didn't want to be renationalised. They made sure the people voted against their own interests and vote in record high energy prices.
